Accountability

Accountability has always been a major concern in the lodging industry; in one hand we need to empower staff taking care of our guests, or competition will, in another hand we need be sure that free hand is accountable.

Most of the hotel companies are following the same old accounting habits; many still fill out the old daily balance reports and fax it to the office. But only a few have implemented a feasible and reliable system of checks and balances.   Majority of operators consume excessive time on reporting and reduce the time needed for actual management of the property. These days a general manager of a midsize hotel is more an accountant than anything else. A GM who is spending most of his or her time in accounting duties, will not have enough time to host our guests.

DHI keeps a simple system checks and balances that is effective while allowing hotel operators do what are they hired to do: offer best service to our guests.
